ORIGINAL QUESTION:
so, i said i wanted to talk nutrition, and all i did was drool over yer bod. my bad, but hey yer slammin, so i couldnt resist. i eat 4 servings of oats per intake, and do that 2x before noon, then i have at least 2 meals of meat based food before working out, and then another meal of high protein(or protein shake)before going back to rice, oats or something similar in the carb heavy area. i also have a shake before first meal. you think it would be better if i made every meal mixed carb/protein?mordred47
MY REPLY:
no.foods digest at different times. mix them up too much, and one starts rotting in your stomach while the other digests.
This is why its best to eat sweet things/treats BEFORE your meals. It digests fastest. Your body breaks down glucose fastest.
Otherwise you eat something like meat, then have fruit lets say, the fruit will have already began to rot, while the meat is in the process of digesting.
Similarly, carbs are much quicker to digest than meat. So ideally eat them first… or better yet, try your best to seperate your meals best you can, keeping the bulk of your carbs seperate from the bulk of your protein.
